Description
The SenseAnywhere Mobile Access Point is an economical plug-and-play device that connects SenseAnywhere's wireless sensors to the SenseAnywhere Cloud. Thanks to the built-in GSM modem, the device is highly suitable for use during transport and at locations where no fixed internet connection is available.
The mobile Access Point has a robust metal housing and is available with a mains adapter and/or 12V adapter. The device only needs power and otherwise operates fully autonomously.
You can use the mobile Access Point with the international SenseAnywhere SIM, which works almost anywhere in the world, or with a SIM card from a provider of your choice. SenseAnywhere's data usage is very limited (+/- 10 MB per AiroSensor/Access Point per month), so a modest M2M data SIM is sufficient.
SenseAnywhere Access Points ensure that sensors can send their data to the SenseAnywhere Cloud Service. Wireless communication between the sensors and the network takes place via a two-way radio signal. The sensors automatically recognize when an Access Point is nearby, regardless of location, and then forward the data from their built-in memory to the central cloud database. The sensor then waits for confirmation that the data was received correctly. If the data is not fully transmitted, the sensor automatically resends it — so no data is ever lost.
This Access Point contains a built-in SIM card, making it usable at locations without network coverage as well. Using the SIM card costs 6 credits per year.
Alarms can be switched on and off via a slide switch by the vehicle's driver, so that only alarms during refrigerated transport are received.
